These two lamps are nice addition and because not common I wanted to share. The Petromax arrived yesterday and it is the second 822 I have got; the Primus 1025 arrived the day before. I have no time to work on them by now but I guess the Petromax will run after check washers because it is in very good condition, just dirty; on the Primus the air tubes are missed but for the rest is fine. Hello Juan, those are two fine additions to your collection. Do remember to post photos of them when they are restored, Jeff.
Congratulations on the lamps Juan. Very nice additions. What year is the Primus and is that a Coleman globe you have used?
It is 1953 and the globe came with the lamp and will remain there because I haven't got any other globe that fit there. The tank has a dent on the edge and because of this it is not stable but I'm very happy with it because there are several Primus stoves here but lanterns are very uncommon and it is the first table lamp I see. Juan
No, Karli. There isn't any scratch there. I'll see again my locally sold, German made Petromax because there were two distributors here: a still unknown one with offices in Colón street (Columbus) and the other, later, was Fanal in Perú street. This lamp was sold by Fanal but it has de E withing the G on the logo so I assume that is pre 1943. Some of my lamps have scratches and some others not so I'll see if it is related to the distributor.
Never is too much and they are slightly different, Doron. But if I find a third one, or there is something interesting around to trade, I'm willing to do something.
Not quite right. That logo of G with E inside was used up to 1952. The G logo was not registered until 1953. ::Neil::
822 is not listed in 1957 so I suspect it was not made after 1950. Yours looks to be older though and I would guess at pre 1940. ::Neil::
