    Hi everyone.

I'm currently travelling in Newfoundland. This place is like Tilley heaven (not to UK'ers of course but would be for Canadians anyway).

I picked up a KL80 lamp missing the wall bracket or hanging bracket and a x246 missing a globe.

I passed up an ivory coloured KL80 sporting a wall bracket and Coleman 355 globe but missing the globe ring and meths cup.

I also saw three WL25 hanging wall lamps, 2 of which are fully complete with globe and milk glass shade. They are all considerably cheaper than the last two I sold on ebay but more than I want to pay (but can afford to pay).

How tough are these to find? Should I go get them?

I should mention that when I posted about these on the CCF, Jeff did say those would be nice finds.

I find the above to be an oxymoron.

It appears you are looking for lamps to re-sell. If they are considerably cheaper than the last two you sold on ebay (I suspect for a profit) that to me, answers your own question.

    Sorry Matty.

I meant to say "saw" and not sold. I've never seen one in person before I saw these in person.

Ah, it all makes sense now.

Personally, I'd be all over them like white on rice.

The WL25's are rare in my part of the world. If I saw three that were reasonably priced and I could afford them - they'd be mine.

I have only seen one KL80 for sale in the States, and I bought it. ($80) It did not have a Thacker import sticker on it, so it was probably brought over by a serviceman or ex-pat.

What's the date range for the KL80 and WL25?

I didn't see any AJ Thacker sticker on them so I know they weren't brought to Newfoundland from the US.

Considering Newfoundland was a British colony until 1949, i'd say they came straight from England.

I gotta get back to the shop and get these.

Tilley were offering both of those lamps from the 1920's onwards.

I went back and got the KL80. I I I hanging bracket too along witha Coleman #355 lamp globe. I didn't bother with the WL25.

I'll try and take some pics and post them.
