I'm new here, but I use CPL for many years for the problems I have on my lanterns. I Always could find here answer/solution on my questions. But today I started fettling on a Primus 1001 with an broken needle, but I couldn't find anything about what kind of needle this lantern needs, can I use a needle of an Primus 1020 or is this a totally different needle? Regards, Johan
It's the same needle and jet for the 1001 as you use on the 1020, so you will do fine. Needle is No. 6131 Jet is No. 6145 A replacement needle might look different since the old ones were made in steel when later had a brass fitting for the actual needle, but they will still work. You can see both versions in . If you scroll down a bit, you can see what the old ones looked like. It's probably one of those you have now on your lantern.
Thank you Christer, On the lantern is now an old steel needle (broken), but I have here new needles for 1020. So now I can remove the old one and put an new one in without problems.
