Coleman 242B "Sport-Lite". Date stamped A 38 made in Canada All moving parts on this lantern were seized and I thought it would require a complete strip down. I was wrong it only needed 95%. Links to Two topics I found useful: Both graphite gland packing’s responded to a little heat and didn’t need replacing. Link The check valve responded to "lacquer" thinner and didn’t need removal. Link The lantern has a steel base and was rusted on the inside. I cleaned then treating the rust with phosphoric acid. Overall I am pleased with the outcome.
