Tilley control cock with pressure guage

A friend of mine helped me modify a Tilley XN control cock and attach a brass pressure gauge to it.
It works well and looks not bad.

 

Now you have two pressure indicators!

What pressure are you running your lamp at?

That's a very neat addition.

 

The most suitable pressure is between 0.5~1.5 bar

 

Nice work, the lamp it's on, is that a short reeded column from the factory's or something you have modified? We've had one posted on here a long time ago but never got a conclusive answer.

 

Would you be so kind as to tell us what pressure is indicated on the manometer when the pip indicates that the tank is at full pressure?

What, washing his face with May Dew? How is Steve nowadays anyway? I met him in 2010 when John and I managed a quick visit to Newark and he very kindly drove us about saving us awkward journeys to and from the site.

 

If he was, it didn't work!

it depends. The original Tilley design is very inaccurate. That's why I attach the Wika gauge to the lamp.

 

I converted a normal TL11 to this short version. It's not hard and can be done in an hour.
I've seen the old post on this site before and I always believe it's a converted one.
