Does anybody know of a source of the pricker needle (or the rod /pricker) in the "generator for the 243B or the 220 lamp? It seems a bit daft to buy a whole Generator if just the needle is broken! Jim.
John, Coleman used to sell replacement cleaning needles on a card for various models. I have one each marked for 241 and 236-238. But that was up to the '60s (I think) when they stopped that and from there on sold only complete generators. A new 200A or 201 generator is not expensive though, and should last for many years.
Thanks, folks, I looked in OldColemanparts but they don't seem to have them. As you said, The generator seems reasonably priced. I already bougt a replacement valve assembly and the lantern is now running perfectly, so I just wanted the pricker to fix the old one as a spare. It cost $12.00 plus postage, so I'm not complaining! Jim.
