Hi all, I've got some both unique and odd ball lamps, and this one easily meets the requirements for both categories, top three on my list. This is a French lamp I recently acquired, and is an unique and rare lamp never heard of before and from a maker not known for making lamps. This lamp is made by Louis Bouyssou, Livry France, with the brand of "Ekinox". Prior to this lamp and a parabolic heater of mine, Ekinox was only known as a manufacturer of one- and two- burner stoves. This lamp is a ca. 200 CP single burner lamp and probably gasoline fed. No papers for this unique lamp, but I hope some will soon turn up. This lamp came in a pretty good condition with a brownish layer of brass patina. Testing the lamp I detected about seven base font leakages and decided for a epoxy sealing. Having this done successfully, there was a problem as the epoxy has made the fuel feed blocked, although I had put a steel rod inside the fuel feed tube reaching down to the bottom of the font. Removed the rod when the epoxy had hardened, but still something blocking the feed line. I then had to de-solder the centre brass tube with the fuel feed tube, and cleaning it and solder it back to the font. This and chemicals with the sealing process made staining on the font, so I had to make a soft clean to make it presentable. Still some patina left, and I think this is a lovely odd ball table lamp, just on its on merits; not similar to any other I know of. /Conny Ekinox table lamp and Ekinox parabolic radiator/heater font repair..............
