I remember them well and I'm sure I have a set, brand new in their box. Unfortunately, like you, I put them in a safe place and can't for the life of me, remember where that safe place is. Desperately busy at the moment but will have a look when /if I have time but don't hold your breath. Henry.

Thanks, Stuart, but that's not them - they're fibre sealing washers. The missing item is made from a much harder material similar to that used on printed circuit boards and may be called delrin IIRC. It's more a spacer/insulator than for sealing purposes. The daft thing is, I can buy the two separate parts of the points (which I already have) but they come without the little brown intermediate washer (which I haven't!)...

Go and find an old radio spares shop ,you should be able to get an insulator there. By the way what's the application ?
1/16" is standard thickness PCB Material. The fibreglass/epoxy stuff is called FR4. It is available in many thicknesses 1/32" is also common. If you have a local PCB manufacturer worth their salt they will almost certainly have FR4 pre preg in all sorts of thicknesses. This is the insulator material without any copper. I reckon you could scrounge some offcuts of pre preg for a small contribution to the tea fund.
Right, I think I've got what you want, I'll post a pic with sizes for you to check and then I'll pop it in an envelope and send it up to you. Genuine english made Lucas as well, so you know it's quality. No not on shifts, I don't get up until 7.30 in the morning, but anything past midnight is nearly time to get up.

I've probably got something that will do. At least a set of contact breakers unused. If stuck, try some milk carton material cut to size. You light have to scratch about for the right thickness though.

I have a fondness for the early DK stationary engines, I may even have one lurking at the back of my lockup in need of some TLC. HD

Update: Yesterday, I ordered £44 worth of parts etc. - the engine cost only £45 in the first place! Then there was £25 for a silencer (still mislaid), £50 for a trolley, £10 for a drain cock, £4.50 for a spark plug, £7 for a display nameplate and £22 for instruction manuals and books - what next? Oh, and £50 for a water pump so I can sit in a field somewhere, all day, looking very sad as it pumps water out of and back into a baby-bath containing a little dolly and a plastic duck. Can't wait! P.S. Anybody got a suitable lighting set lying around?
