Thought some of you may be interested in seeing this. It would not turn it through a full 360 degrees so thought I'd de-solder it and have a look. Simple bit of engineering. The eccentric cam sits in a slot in the side of the little piston and moves it up and down when you turn the knob. Bit difficult to see in the picture but the slot has not been machined all the way across the piston so i suspect this is what's causing it to bind. I'll get a file on when I have a few minutes and see it that cures it.
I am not sure these are supposed to turn 360 degrees. I have a Bialaddin 300X with a similar type and it only turns 180, my 310's turn the full 360. Prehaps others can confirm if I am correct. Peter.
Hmm, interesting. I have maybe half a dozen different Vapalux/Bialaddins and this is the first one I've come across that wouldn't turn all the way round. Just thought it was a duff one that slipped through the quality control net but could be wrong.
