I suppose in theory we have another 8 hours to go?

While you sweat, it's been snowing in the highlands here in Tassie! (and quite cold down here on the coast.

    Cheers

Shropshire hills forecast was for snow showers. We had a light dust falling early yesterday which turned to sleet. Just damp cold and grey. Temps due to lift a bit for the coming week getting around 5°C to 10°C, brighter too.

Hmmm, did you mention the other day that's unusual up there Jeff?

Is that a gulf stream thing then?

What drops we had here dried up, very dry wind now.. the birds are visiting the water bowl quite often

Hello Henry, a square shovel would do the job just now.

Large snowfalls are uncommon here nowadays, but we often get a dusting and the link below shows photographs of the snowfalls that we used to get.

Thanks Jeff, some lovely photos there!

For us to have 'proper' snow the rest of the country has to almost come to a standstill!
Just where we are, sheltered by the Clwydian hills an not far from the sea; low level etc..

An exception was 2 or 3 years ago when it all seemed to just dump just here... there was a local newsman on live camera just up the road in Ledsham up to his knees in it... poor sod looked perished

We had snow on Mt Hotham a couple of days ago, expecting 34c today with Northerly winds. A TFB has been declared for our area.
