Hi it's been ages since i purchased a lamp, but today i was fortunate to purchase this coleman duel fuel double mantle lantern.

    1489161337-P1010001.JPG

I paid £28 for it at my local antique collectable shop . I got it home and gave it a quick going over, i notice that there was some unleaded petrol in it and that there was no resistance in the pump so i have stripped it down and going to carry out a full fettle. Which will be added in more detail in the fettling forum.
Can any one help what mantles this lamp uses on the collar it says 285-700T i cant find this on ebay what mantles areused for this lamp many thanks

Use the coleman nr 21 mantle. They are the proper mantle for this lantern.
    Really nice find!

I lighted one of those last night!
It belongs to my kids, I had borrowed the glass for some experimentation with a Petromax.

Have you used Coleman's gas lanterns before?
If you have, I will spare you the simple things to check and be aware of.
