Although I was looking for stoves today in the antique store, I found this 1960 Coleman 200A in very good condition. I will clean it up and repaint the fount, maybe put on a new decal. After applying a bit of oil to the pump cup, it pressured up just fine and hissed nicely when I opened the valve.

Waiting for paint to cure is a pain. I don't know about other brands but the black smooth Hammerite I often use can be oven cured in 20 minutes. This stuff normally takes four days and I got impatient one day and cooked a painted part for 20 minutes at 200c. Came out rock hard and no loss of the gloss shine. I have just done a lamp tank like this at a lower temp. I only stoved at 160 c because I did not want to risk softening the solder and that worked just as well. Next time I have a coloured paint job I will try an experiment with it to see if I can stove on some more ordinary rattle can paints.

'Corse if you want to try this I suggest you wait until She Who Must Be Obeyed is not around first. ::Neil::

    Nice work Sparky!

Did you paint the one piece fuel cap too?

What paint and code did you use?

I have a few 3 piece caps that need painting.

Yes, the cap is now red, too. Seriously considering buying a replacement from Old Coleman Parts for $3.
