Check over on the Coleman Collector's Forum. There are a couple of places in the states that do it. IPE is one, address on the CCF site. Other as well, can't remember details. Just do a search on porcelain, enamel, vents etc. and you'll find lots of info. Many have tried but to the best of my knowledge no one has found any sort of paint that can withstand the temps experienced by vents/hoods.

IPE DOES A GREAT JOB AT A REASONABLE PRICE! I DON'T THINK YOU WILL FIND A BETTER VALUE.

Is there a European firm that does vent reenamelling? Shipping cost and possible import taxes kinda put me off using IPE.

I bought an X410 from Malc and he'd had the hood re-enamelled. I asked whether it would be OK to light and he suggested I'd be better not, so I've always had a slight suspicion it was powder coated rather than vitreous enamelled. I could be wrong but...:-k :-k
