Petromax 828/350 cp Super

    20170503_104052.jpg 20170501_123924.jpg This just arrived from Germany....took a month.never fired.Its in the living room and the only lantern I have that has not been fired(only one in the living room )and will not be......i think??? I PAID top dollar for this.....I must be a collector? Fire or not to fire...that is the question?

    Kept as it is the lantern is something special.
    Once lit it is just another of the thousands of 'used' lanterns of the same type.

    I know that others will disagree, but do I care?!

    I have a number of as new Petromax. They will remain unlit.

    Yes, as ever I agree with Trevor on this issue. Only those with absolutely no sense of history would light it... :whistle:

    @David Shouksmith .And they are not a dime a dozen around here!!!My gut told me not to light It! And I always go by my gut ...or I must have a sense of history...albeit a little shorter than yours.:lol:(usa vs england) :lol:

    G'day Jon, Lovely looking lantern. The dilemma to light or not is yours but remember
    if you wanted a user it would have been cheaper to buy one.

    There is a reason it's in the living room! I was curious on what people thought and why one would light or not light it. I am one to think that something should be used for what its purpose was.however ,I have other lanterns to use. The fact that we will probably never see another real petromax bieng made ....is reason enough. Jon
