I have a pr of two and I decided to clean one of them and as I removed the tiny brass jet from the base it snapped right off. Where would you find such an odd part or do you just hawk garage sales and flea markets?
Hello Mike Where are you? I don't think I have ever seen a replacement jet. The generator can be bought for 10 dollars from here Link And a link to Instructions Cheers, Jeff
I don't know of they are still available but you used to be able to buy jets from Coleman in Wichita. I know a few years ago I bought ten to use in repro Q99 generators. All used now though but they might still have some lurking about in their stock room. ::Neil::
Hi I'm outside seattle. No this one doesnt have a generator tube like my other Coleman. The little square jet isnt in the end of the tube. Its screws in to the tank inlet and then a hollow tube goes over the top and you hang the mantle off that. I have military spares so I could trade a couple 1/4 glass panes or a couple of the metal uprights that hold the glass. I just dont have a spare brass jet lol. From the looks of the generator tube I could probably buy one and take it out of the end and have things work. I think I need a picture, so I will try to snap one in the next couple days. It will make more sense then once you can see it. I dont remember exactly but these were 78-82 or so vintage? One is stamped so I have to look.
Mike have you found the CCF forum? As it is all Coleman collectors you might have better luck trading one there.
