Hi all, Can someone please tell me what the difference from the coleman 214a vs 214b lantern is. I recently acquired 2 new in the box ones and to me they both look the same. Also what is the more valuable or sort after one and why. And what would these be worth. Kind Regards Darren
I'm aware of at least 3 variants of the 214. The first one had the bail handle attached to flat metal pillars on the burner cage, the second had no pillars on the cage and the bail handle attached to the vent and the third type had the plastic pump cap. The first two had the aluminium pump cap. I would not think that any of the 214s would be particularly sought after, except perhaps as a workaday lantern. IMHO, not Colemans best engineering.
Sorry Tony was not aware of the valuations part. Thankyou phaedrus42 for all that info, so much to learn, this site is amazing for info thanks to good people like your self. Regards Darren
Hi I have the 214 700 and about 3 different versions of the 214A700. The differences in the 214A700’s are vent shape, pump clip and globe rest clips/ heat shield.
Thankyou Andrew T some good info given. Was not aware there were so many Versions. Thankyou phaedrus42 aswell for your help, its great to have guys like you Andrew T on this forum. Regards Darren
