So you see this lantern on a local auction site.



Then your brain starts up,
your thought get splits into two camps:
it's nice !, you already have to much lamps!

Then after some days you pick it up,
shake the old fuel a little,
invest in a new mantle,
and trust the old German quality and set fire to the darn thing...



Date stamp: 0718 > 1961, 07th week, 8th weekday
Which shows how the Germans made such a huge production: they worked 8 days a week !

The date could not be correct, in 1961 was a different preheater mounted. Is it possibly 1971 and made by Hipolito? Is the Tank and the hood marked "Made in Germany" or "Germany"? Some lanterns from Hipolito have an"8" as last digit

Wim, this lantern was made in Torres Vedras, Portugal. The 1960s code is not applicable after 1970.
