Hi All, Just found this Tilley Table lamp. I am fairly sure that it is a model TL106. The fount is all brass, so is the gallery. The pump/filler cap may be a replacement as it is aluminium alloy. I would be grateful if someone could confirm the model and also put a date to it. I bought it thinking it was the rather rare "Cottage" model, but it does not seem to fit the gallery picture of that model. Thanks - Steve.
Nice find. Yes a Tilley TL106 from about 1950 to 1954. The pump is certainly not correct. This lamp had an all brass pump/filler. ::Neil::
Thanks Neil, I will carry out a fettle on it and will post a gallery picture as there is not a Bog-standard TL106 shown as yet. Many thanks Steve.
Please excuse my ignorance of the subject but what is Bog-standard? I love my old Coleman lanterns/heaters/stoves, but the Tilleys are so classy looking. I have an R1 heater that I need to fettle. I like your Tilley Lamp.
'Bog standard' is slang for basic, ordinary, entry level, no frills, no bells and whistles, unadorned, unembellished, as it left the factory etc., etc.
