Hey guys I just acquired this what I think is a WL25 and am planning a complete restoration on the lamp. The lamp needs a full seal kit, burner cleaned and a new globe. I have had it lit using my pump and burner / gallery, from my ML93. I want to clean and paint the tank or maybe just polish it, but it's the sticker I am worried about. I can get a sticker made, but I am wondering if there is letters/numbers missing from the sticker. i have attached pics for clarification. It looks like it says: (TILLEY LAMP, WALL MODEL) Is there a number missing at the end? Thanks in advance Clyde
Your decal is complete and your lamp looks great. Now to find a Vitreosil shade for it but then it would be a WL27. (what you have there with the clear globe is a WL26, with an opal shade and no globe is a WL25)
Your lamp dates from 1940 onwards, Tilley started to use the GF., control cock and the short socket for it in 1940. That's a lucky find!
Thanks Anthony for the clarification, still new to all of this. I have since polished it and have a new sticker for it. I will post a few pics later. Clyde
