Here are some pics of the TrueNorth gathering we had in upstate NY(USA) in August. (Steve Cullins cabin) Collectors from Canada and the US attended . what a great weekend!! Agostino
Whereabouts in Upstate are you? I used to be stationed at Plattsburgh & the woods look similar. Looks like alot of fun.
As I recall at the time that this image was shot the "ensemble" was in the middle of "Take it Easy" by the Eagles. That rather "rotund" fellow in the black shirt in the second image is yours truly. The poster of this thread, Agostino is directly across from me. At the time I was preheating my Optimus No.2 for a demo. This place is just south of the "North Coast". That being the south shore of Lake Ontario in the town of Hannibal, NY. Our host is the fellow in the "ensemble" on the right, my pal Steve. At present he's building an "outdoor kitchen" next to the cabin for the upcoming fall gathering. WHAT A GUY!!!! Let's see, who have I forgotten? OH! In the first image from L-R, Ty Pilarczyk, the founder of the "True North Coleman Collectors Forum". Then there are two of our Canadian members, Agostino Del Coro and Roland Chevalier. Our "band of troubadours" L-R, Steve's bro-in-law(name escapes me), so does the next chap. Then "Lantern Broker Bob" followed by Steve Cullins. That big aluminum scaffold plank is the "operating room" where lamps get fettled most of the weekend. It has doubled for the cook shack at meal times. Coleman and other brand stoves from one end to the other. Meal times can be best described as "EPIC"! Our upcoming fall gathering is going to be HUGE! Bob
