@Chip Packard The gasoline I'm getting around here is RON95 for the regular and RON98 for premium. Those numbers would indicate the octane level I guess. Not sure if there're any ethanol in, but I'm using them anyway. Can't get CF or even napthta-based panel wipes here. If I'm gonna remove any alcohols from the gasoline I'm getting here, this is what I do: Mix 2/3 regular gasoline with 1/3 fresh concentrated Sodium Hydroxide(lye) solution in a transparent HDPE container. Cap it with no leaks. Shake and agitate vigorously and allow the mix to separate in the container. Repeat several rounds. My wild guess is that much ethanol would be drawn to the dehydrating sodium hydroxide, perhaps reacting with it and become insoluble in the gasoline. After that, I'll allow the mix to sit and separate for a day. Then, I'll siphon out the supposedly "purified" gasoline.
