I have been looking at the range of industrial lanterns that Tilley made in the ref. gallery. And there are quite a range that they had! But after also looking into other makers, world wide, Tilley seem to have been pretty much the only maker of things like the AL21, FL6 and the likes. Or were there any others out there ?
Atleast the German Standard made some floodlight versions, which you can see by scrolling down here. This version is relatively often seen in Sweden since it was imported.
Thatone I had missed, looks nice indeed! But, still, Tilley seem to be the major playe in this field, with a big range spaning many years of production and models not seen elsewere.
The Tilley industrial range is unique. Certainly Continental and Standard made reflected floodlights and quite a few companies added reflectors to a standard lantern but there is nothing like the diversity Tilley made. In general induistrial means railway because I am pretty sure most of not all were made to designs prompted by the demands of the Rail companies and mostly GWR. ::Neil::
