This seems to be a combination of the models 94 and 95 Arc lights. It does not have the fancy scrolls like the 94 and it does not have the lugs to hold the reflector like 95. I would assume the plate for the larger outer globe would indicate an indoor lamp so I'm thinking model 95. A good sized lamp at 30 inches and if I had a 5inch mantle it would shine at 600cp. This is from my 1921 catalogue but it is also in other Best catalogues that may be older than that. Strangely rough cut badge on the underneath.
Quite a bit Tony. Bits were stuck or blocked. Holes were drilled and enlarget. Jet was stuck and blocked. Even the ball in the NRV was rusted, stuck and too pitted to seal. All part of the game we play
I was doing a bit of adjusting and I am surprised how sensitive it is with its setting. Lifting the vapouriser about 1 to 1 1/2 mm almost doubles the light and halves the noise. Left is how it was and right is the adjustment. (taken in full daylight)
G'day Anthony, you do come up with some interesting lamps and congratulations getting it running. But that singing would get on my nerves very quickly.
Martin, that noise is almost as loud as a smoke detector. The cat ran off but the dogs wanted to what was going on.

Thanks a lot" Could be a number of things. Blocked or enlarged jet or chocked packing in vapouriser. Check air way is not blocked or the gauze is not damaged in the burner.
