    Hello.
I have a question about Tilley 182 globe.
I have about 5 kind of 182 globe but I don't know which is the oldest one and latest.

Does anyone have any idea for the history ??

I also want to know the name of " GTC Ltd. "

The last picture left end does not have any letters and made with mold.

    Thank you.

I do not know how to age the sequence of your Tilley globes, nor do I know what/who G. T. C. is, but I have just found a Tilley 2081 globe with the GTC Ltd markings.

    Best regards

    Tony

The 'tear drop' globe with the mould marks could be an Australian made globe for the Kayen lamps and lanterns. I don't think the Tilley made ones had a mould mark.

Tilley globes and shades did vary slightly over the decades and in my opinion, Tilley would have bought from whichever glass manufacturer offered the best deal and if that is correct then that would account for the differences in design and quality.
