Winter is coming...

It’s starting to get cold and dark in the evenings here in the South.

Working on the shed requires heat and light:

It's getting warmer here thankfully!

It’s not very cold by Northern European standards.

This time of year the average minimum will be around 6C, but (in normal, past years) with regular frosts. As winter progresses the minimum monthly average will drop to 2C in July.

I love the weather this time of year, but where I live if pretty good for weather all year, really.

Edit: Mild frost this morning. Just before sunrise it was 0.6C, with a perceived temperature of -2.4C.

Lol shorts and tshirt weather here.

 

A car is pulled onto a lake each spring, a few miles from here. People draw lots on the day when it will break through the ice. Though winter is basically over, the car was still in no danger today,,,

We had an 8” snowfall just a few days ago... Winter remains long, north of Lake Superior...

 

Good fettling weather here on the Darling Downs Queensland. The nights, lately, are down to 14 and the days around 24 degC. Soon it will get colder, but I likes the cold, I can always get warm.

Had 22c yesterday in the west of Ireland....warmer than the Canarie Islands.

 

Still hitting the beach up this end of the state !
