    @Peter

    Nice lantern, well worth conserving or restoring.

    Sorry if I’m stating the obvious but it is a hot blast hurricane lantern and may possibly date from the 1930’s and is missing the chimney guard and bail.

    Now we wait to hear from someone who really knows.

    Regards Jeremy

    Thanks! Is it possible to get it up and running without the parts you say its missing? Is it a preassure operated lantern? Parts available?
    Sorry for all the questions...:roll:

    Picking her up tomorrow.

    Well it is a pressure lantern of some kind. its operates under atmosferic pressure. So you don't have to pump.
    Any indentification starts with telling us what it says obivious: what is written on the tank and label ?
    Clean her up, check the wick, fill her up and light her.
    But I am afraid you miss the burner itself too.

    @WimVe ok, I’ll check if the burner is missing when I go pick it up. If so, I’ll leave it.
    Thanks for the heads up!

    Depends on how much you have to pay. I like the model and the glass.
    In this condition: 10 euros is the max.

    Didn’t buy the lantern. As @WimVe mentioned the burner was missing...
