    That is good because I have to dig out my box.
    Meanwhile: what is your aim, goal ? Do you have (part of) a box, do you want to make one ?

    I'm a reenactor. I do WWII living history events in Ukraine. I'm very authentic in all stuff I use during events.

    I do not have Petromax Lamps but I do have german kerosine lamps which I'm going to store in this wooden box because it's authentic.

    That is a reason I need measurements.

    I was in the bunker and measured the box: its a cube outside 375x375x375mm made of 16mm thick wood. Height of the lid: 75mm. Box corners have metal protection pieces.
    I always had in mind to make a detailed construction drawing of the original boxes I have or see. Only problem with that is that people start to reproduce them and may sell them as original.
    These boxes are made in a time box making was a real trade.

    At the Dutch railway I have seen these made for the last time for measuring equipment. The labour involved besides craftsmanship makes them expensive.

    On the box making webpage you find boxes people made themselves.

    @SSG Popov

    That equipment is exported from Germany to the USA. I'm just assuming but wouldn't it be cheaper to import direct from Germany.

    It's fake or reproduced as they say.
    In Germany you will not find this easy.
