I’m Japanese and beginner for vintage lantern. I had got Coleman vintage lantern. But I couldn’t identified this right one (no ventilator) in attached picture. Valve design is different from others. I think this is L327 manufactured in canada, because there is canada patent marking on the air intake tube. Is this light? Canada coleman L327 is very rare. I can’t get details information.
Can you post some more detailed pics Date on fount etc Both the Canadian L427 and 220A sport this unique coloured valve wheel My thoughts are this 327 has just picked up one one the way during service possibly I could be wrong but let’s see a date which will help put the pieces together Cheers
Thank you reply Akeepsake! I have disassembled it for cleaning today. It have marking “PAT’D CANADA MARCH 16 -1920” “PAT’D GY BRITAIN FEB.2 -1922” And it’s found hadn’t date marking and Coleman logo. I think this is early 1920s.
Welcome Schuichi to the forum! The lantern appears to be Canadian. No U.S. patients appear on air tube. Very well taken care of. All you need is a pump.
Welcome aboard you have a very nice L327 there. I'm fettling a L327 as we speak. Mines in a more used condition and is dated 8 - 1. I'm assuming its January 1928.
Thank you everyone! I have one more L327 manufactured in USA. It have US patented marking. But it’s not have Coleman logo too. I think Canada L327 is different from USA L327 detail parts shapes. And plating of base flames is not good quality.
