Hello everyone, About 2 Months ago I posted a picture of my chrome lamps and fires and there was some interest in my black R22. so here it is. As far as I can date it it seems to be 1938-9. Neal can you be more precise ? This fire was in such an appalling condition that the only option was a compete rebuild. A few bumps and bruises on a 70 year old is o/k with me but there is a point were a rebuild is the only way. Sorry no pic by pic of rebuild this time but I will next time. The steel tank was leaking unusually under the control cocks. So I guess it could have been stored upside down for a while. I pressure tested it for 48 hours and is now o/k. The black finish is proper vitreous enamel done by a "Arga Range" restorer. The reflector had many dents and after straightening was polished and chromed. Even the guard was in two pieces. To put the last finishing touches to the fire. does anyone have any dimensions of the optional trivet rack or pictures. Just for a comparison, I have put up a picture of my 1933 R22. Maurice.

Hello Steve, The vitreous enameling was 50 euros and the chroming was also 50 euros. So not too bad. Maurice.
