Best mantle for tilley?

    Just found the website and started fettling a couple of old tilleys, just wondered if the mantle makes much difference and if so which ones are the best?

    Welcome aboard.

    I prefer to use older Tilley mantles, but they are becoming scarce.

    Any of the modern Tilley mantles will do though and there are some good deals to be had on Ebay.

    I find the base-camp "164Pro" mantles work well and at £12 for a 10 pack they are good value.
