    Hi Dusan,

I asked myself the same question years ago when I restored a rusty Elektra lamp, the same as yours. But obviously comparing this Elektra lamp with any of the Wiktorin lamps is like comparing a 70,s Vaz Lada car with a Ferrari. The engineering and finish of these different lamps are most contrary, with a most simple built ( but clever) Elektra lamp and a sophisticated Wiktorin ; but in the end both serves the purpose to get a Bunsen flame to lit a mantle.

I tried to get more information about he Elektra brand and found a Czech magazine "Svetlo" but it wasn't translated in English so I couldn't interpreted the articles but I got a name to a Czech historian of lighting (Jitka ..... last name forgotten now) and I e-mailed her through a museum, but never got any answer back from her.
    Here's a part of my e-mail in 2011:

"A couple of years ago I bought an alcohol Wiktorin 5000 table lamp, very well build with a complex burner unit. I’ve also had a simple build Elektra alcohol lamp from Czechoslovakia. From a 1910 Wiktorin catalogue one can establish that the Wiktorin & Co in Vienna also had a subsidiary factory in Swatoboritz, Czechoslovakia. From the Elektra brand we have no paperwork except for a patent 4790 from 1921. I’ve found a factory in Swatoboritz, Elektrosvit (an electric lighting company), founded 1906 by Jindrich Wiktorin. It may be only coincidental, but raises the question if this Elektrosvit factory founded by J.Wiktorin is the same subsidiary factory as of the Wiktorin & Co. If so could the Elektra brand descend from this Wiktorin Swatoboritz “Elektrosvit” factory? "

So maybe you as a Czech can pursue this investigation, I'm willing to contribute with what I know.

There are a several Elektra alcohol fed hanging lamps found, some more sophisticated than this lamp, but still with that very simple burner construction. A pressure lamp is also found with the Elektra brand. You can find it here on CPL.

Here is a couple of images of my lamp, I hope you don't mind, and the patent drawing.

    /Conny

@Dusan, I´m not sure this lamp is a Wiktorin lamp at all. I have three Wiktorin lamps and they are more sophisticated both technically
and in built quality. Looks more like the gravity stand lamp I posted her Karlin gravity stand lamp

hmmmm, I'm sure I found a connection between Wiktorin and Electra when I was looking into Wiktorin a while ago.

I will try to find it again.
