European Lantern Shipping Woes Solved

    Following a number of successful lantern trades with a German collector, I feel compelled to share with you his method of shipping lanterns without the trouble of the shipping gestapo interfering with the package's progress.

    He ships me "electric lamps". See attached. Who would honestly ship a DANGEROUS fuel lantern anyway?!? I mean, come on people!

    Does this lantern run on 120VAC/60Hz or 230VAC/50Hz grade fuel? ;) And how do you manage to get the plug into the US wall outlets, is there a gas2kero converter adapter available? :-k

    Depends on how it is electrified though...
    Is that a dent besides the fill opening ?

    I think that when you dismantle the lantern and clean the parts well (!) you shouldn't have any problem at all.
    What would be the problem with (old) lantern parts ?
