Hi everyone, I recently acquired this instrument marked “ICA Aktiengesellschaft Dresden” and I’m trying to identify exactly what it is and what it was used for. It could be a projection lamp. Does anyone recognize this instrument or know its original function? Any information, catalog references, or similar examples would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Do not know what exactly you got, but Internationale Camera Actiengesellschaft – Wikipedia will direct you to cameras optics and such things. So probably no connection to pressurelamps. Erik.
Hi, What you have is a stand for something probably connected to a projection light. ICA was a producer of many types of projection lighting, incandescent gas lighting, limelight/chalk lighting, acetylen lighting and several types types of electric lighting devices for projection light. Ica projectors in 1913 ICA also made a pressure alcohol projection light lamp seen down below. I have a similar alcohol device and in my post here ...... Ca. 1910 Alcohol projector lamp | Classic Pressure Lamps & Heaters ....I have the ICA light as a refererence. /Conny
