Does anyone make new chimneys ? If so, how can I get in touch with them and what is the price range. Seems like a lot of work to me finding all the right materials and assembling them. I am new to this site so please excuse me if I ask redundant questions. Also, how about re-plating the nickel. All my lanterns are nickel and some of them are a little rough. Does doing this affect the value?

    Hello Michael,

There are a couple of guys now that make and rebuild mica globes in the US; post on any Coleman Facebook group and their names and contact information will pop up soon enough.

As far as getting a fount/tank renickeled, look up Camp Wounded Dog; I believe he can hook you up.

We don’t do evaluations here but usually unless the finish is really bad; I prefer as close to original as possible. A new shiny finish on a 80-100 year old lamp came be off putting.

    Thank you,
    John

    Welcome to this forum.

There is a search function, look for mica globes.
I get 178 results of which the 6th is a good one about Fred Kuntz.
