This is a Primus cleaning needle for a lantern I think. The needle or pricker is 0.30mm The brass threaded body is 5.16 mm long and the pricker is 3.63mm The brass body is 1.96-1.99 mm wide from thread to thread. I was wondering what part number it may be and for what lantern?

It doesn't look Primus to me. At least nothing I have seen before. 0.3 is also too big for a lamp, unless it is for alcohol. I would guess it is for a stove burner with cleaning device. Any chance of measuring the pitch of the thread?

I think you are right about the stoves Nils

I will measure it when I get home. What other company used these though? It is slightly different than the 4160 needle. I have some alcohol needles as well. They are mostly .50mm

That is 0.012" 12 thou if you like. Way too big for most lamps although Lahde gives 0.0126" as the jet size for 800 cp so it is just possible the needle is for a big output light of maybe 800 to 1000 cp. ::Neil::

Thanks Neil. I think it is a stove pricker. I am going to post it on spiritburner.com

The pitch is 0.40 mm. The needle is very similar to a Primus 4160 needle. Seen on the left in the picture below. It is also 0.30mm pricker. In the bottom middle is a alcohol pricker.
