Hello! Beeing new to this Forum, I hope to acquire some knowledge. A couple of years ago, I bought a Tilley X246B from the Danish "Army-shop". It appeared to be relatively un-used and looked good too! However, it wouldn't burn properly, with a lot of flames outside the mantle so i've now decided to change the vapourizer and all of the washers. A quick question. When leaving the tilley after use, do you release the pump? I've once released the pressure and tightened the pump again with the control knob "off" but the day after it had pressurised itself a bit (Leaving a mess of Kerosene on my desk). What do you do Thanks
Welcome to CPL @JonasRiis A recent post about the same issue. Turning off Tilley- do you remove pressure?
Yes, I too after use, release the pressure and leave the pump loose to prevent any build up of pressure in the fount/tank. Cheers Pete
