[ATTACH] [ATTACH] I got this new to me Jan 1951 Coleman 200 running this evening. I used a 4D Golden Anchor 500 cp Chinese mantle. They don’t burn...
They are one of my favorite lanterns. I have both the kero conversions and CF ones. While the kero's take longer to light, they are quieter, burn...
Nice one
@a10egress I looked at the price of tru-fuel here in Oregon, $18 per gallon can. Coleman fuel is only $14, and Crown is about $8 if you shop there.
Also make sure that your generator is free of carbon. The carbon build up acts as an insulator preventing the fuel from heating up sufficiently.
That looks like a 1917 Henderson motorcycle. Beautiful restoration
Those are awesome. Brass has character but copper has life.
Wow! Spell check sends things sideways ha ha. I was referring to the nrv and whether it was only accessible by removing the pump from the fount.
Looks similar to the one out of a Meva stove. Is the veg only accessible from the outside?
If it's the same as the Petromax then it should be plastic
Is the fount holding pressure? Is the pricker cleaning the jet/nozzle? Lastly, is the air intake clear of spider webs etc?
Looks bright. Ive ordered some of the Chinese mantles to see how they compare with the Peerless.

I'm not too familiar with the Tilley lamps but it looks to me like it does not use paraffin.
Are you using the correct fuel?

If you’re able, make the target for the auto exposure the mantle. You can use the flash to fill in the dark areas.
Beautiful lantern. Pardon the ignorance but is it gravity fueled or pressurized?
@Chip Packard Have you looked at the airports for jet a 1? Perfect substitute for kerosene.
Tony beat me to it. :clap:That tank does look like it was over pressured at some point. I can't see whether the rim has worn or if the leak is on...
