This AGM P67 lamp is badged Stanley Stratford. The plate on the base reads Stanley Stratford and gives a London Oxford Street address and a London Stratford E15 address. I was able to identify the lamp with help from Neil McRae and Terry Marsh. Here is the information I received from them. Stanleys were retailers who imported AGM lamps for sale in the UK in the period 1912 - 1924. Up to about 1920 this was AGM product but in 1922 and 1924 they were importing Nulite lamps and probably no longer selling AGM. AGM P67 is in AGM catalogues from 1912 to 1917. We have no AGM paper then until 1923 but P67 is no longer listed so the model was deleted from the range probably about 1920 or 1921 and it may be this catalogue change that prompted Stanleys to switch to Nulite in 1922. We have very little info on Stanleys. Just two adverts in the Ironmonger for 1922 and 1924.
At least you have it running which is better than I managed with mine. Great lamp. I now have a great deal more info on Stanleys and the models they sold. I now know they not only sold AGM and Nulite but there are some Best and a Gloria in there as well. It seems they just bought stuff from the US and re badged it. They were very helpful to us though because they used the original company model numbers which helps a great deal to work out which comnpany made the lamps. This has enabled me to identify some other wise previously unknown Nulite and AGM models. ::Neil::
