Possibly the 1st lamp Radius made? I got this in a bit of a state, yet not only did it run but it ran very well!
So far I've done a lot of work on it and there is still quite a bit to do. Unfortunately, after finally carefully cleaning it to the metal without rubbing off the nickel, I've found some stress cracks coming off some of the letters and numbers stamped on the tank. The one coming off the bottom left of the R is leaking, so I've decided to anneal the tank best I can and later to fill it with por15. 1352293011-DSCF5167.JPG
I've done some research and apparently you can't harden brass like other metals so letting it cool slowly or quenching it won't make much difference. Question is what kind of temperature should I heat it to and for how long?
The collar which is unique to the 1930 model(?) is free of cracks (HONEST), what temperature can I anneal this to as a precaution without discolouring the nickel?
    Cheers
    Trevor
