This one came from London a few years ago. It appears to have been test-fired only, although the mantle looks fresh so I may have tried it also. The eBay listing described it as "mint" so I was disappointed to see the paint loss on the base rim. The vendor had photographed it for the ebay listing on a purple shag-pile rug to hide that - how devious can you be! I didn't make a fuss because the price was good, particularly as it had the original box and instructions in excellent condition, along with the retailer's price tag showing £3.2.6.
Hallo David That’s a very nice lamp you got there, I have just bought one that looks like it just without the paint. Do you by any chance know the colour code of the colour on the tank? Hi Henning, Sorry, I've no idea what the colour is called or what the paint code might be. I usually just take my lanterns to what we call a 'Motor Factor' over here and have them match the colour to the nearest automobile colour and mix up an aerosol can to suit. I imagine you have something equivalent to a Motor Factor in Denmark - in the UK they sell car-related stuff such as paints, polishes, lubricants, solvents, replacement service parts etc., etc. Hope that helps...
I don't know what the equivalent in Denmark is but in the UK Halfords Rover Damask Red is a reasonable off the shelf match... You may be able to obtain it online.
