My 1020 was my first find in an abandoned cottage. I bought a new glass and embarked on an interesting fettling journey. I didn't really have much experience with pressure lamps before. Just some trials and tribulations with kerosene stoves. I started by cleaning the vaporizer and the jet by citric acid and blowtorch. Messed up putting things together and broke the pricker needle. You need to be careful with the step of putting the jet back. Much sooting of the mantle then ensued. I realized I need to do things more thoroughly and a bought a service pack from fogas.se. After changing the tank lid gasket, the pricker and the jet it lit up again, but still not burning correctly with too much fuel in the mix. I suspected premature combustion in the riser tube since smoke was coming out of the air tube. I had been too lazy and not changed the graphite packing in the fuel valve. This seemed to solve the problem and it is now shining bright.
