Here a Geniol 150 CP Automatic of the 70´s sold by Heinze and manufactured by Hipolito.
She was compelet and showas signs of heavy use, but no damage.
After cleaning and changing washers, she worked very well on kerosene.
Never seen that notch on the generator.

Very neat lantern and it's bright!

The notched vapouriser is new to me as well, Jeff.

I've seen that cheerful dude on your tag on other lanterns!
What's the connection between this one and e.g the Sunflame shown [url=http://0flo.com/index.php?threads/3909

    interesting question, christer !
but I have no answer on this.
I only know, that Heinze uses this little guy (some with red eyes, some with blue ones) as a kind of logo on all Geniol lamps, despite on the latter ones, which have the lantern logo.

as this Sunflame is from 1950, Heinze might have aquired the rights on it lateron ?

The ownership of that brand design would have passed to King Seeley Thermos in 1960. Thermos ceased production of lamps in 1984 but the design patent may have lapsed not long after the take over in 1960 since SunFlame as a brand ceased at that time. So Heinze could very well have taken it over by re registering it some years later. ::Neil::
