    @Buckaroo

Check the date on the lantern you’ve called 242B (1938, Australia).

My vote sits with the 242C on the far left. Lovely looking lantern.

Fine collection of 242 and 249's you have there. They are all top lantern's.

This is my 249 Canadian Scout 3/45 sitting beside a couple of Austramax's. Can easily see where Austramax gained the design from.

The 249 has a brass font painted seafoam green. A good old lantern and runs well.

The hood is from a dead 242 and is nearly identical. The original hood was badly rusted with age.

@Buckaroo Here are my three Canadian 242 B greens, including a sea foam.
    From left: 47, 48 and 50.
And the sea foam in a single pic.
Interesting how the green changed with the different construction years.

I'm liking the green on that Australian 242B!

If you like seafoam then this must be the ultimate--fount, vent, and collar. This is a D/43 and the painted collar saved nickel during the war. Coleman even painted the pump knob to save nickel. So far I've got the 242B and 237 models in this configuration, so just the 236, 247, and rarest of the rare 249 to go!

Here you go in all of its unrestored beauty! It's dated B/46.

    Wow. That’s a beauty @MikeO !!

    This arrived today... A 242D

It’s in a bit of a mess and the globe smashed in transit but I haven’t seen one before so quite pleased with it.

Will post some pictures when it’s a little more presentable and fully functioning!!

Good acquisition @Buckaroo looks it will not take much to get it prettied up and running. Bad luck about the globe. Perhaps you already know, Primus medium globes should fit the 242, they fit my 249 and Austramax's.

    BCF online will supply them.

Looking forward to the fire up.

A 242D is a rare bear! That's a prime find Buckaroo. It's not a 9/66 date is it? They had a very short production run.
