Has anyone experienced a lamp whistling like a tea kettle? I recently changed the generator in this AGM 256-A and decided to use it out on the porch this evening but after 20 minutes or so dispite running strong it has apparently come to a boil.
@Thomas You mean, over-pressurising? Not therefore as the air intake whistle/screech of a Tilley CS56 stove?
Not quite, I can figure out how to post a video but it was a clear whistle like a kettle. It stopped after I shut the lamp down and relit it.
I think that sometimes a resonant frequency of sorts is reached by the lantern. I had a colman that did the same. When I changed mantles in time it never did it again.
