Light output 250cp This AIDA has a smooth carrying frame. The Name plate has no frame. The tank scratch is 12/7 it means December 1957. The MD 41 embossing reveals that the lamp once belonged to the Dutch Civil Protection .( MD 41=Medische Dienst,Afdeling 41) it means medical service departement 41. The tank has apparently been repaired on the top. This is where AIDA and Petromax from the 1950s often leak here,so you can't say that it's good quality. The beautiful original glass cylinder is unfotunately cracked and is held in place by a thin wire. The AIDA EXPRESS 1250 RECCORD is identical to the Petromax 827 of the same year.In the period from around 1950 to 1972 ,the two brands were identically manufactured under the same roof in Altena /West Germany.Only the brand embossings and the colors of buttons were different.AIDA calls the rapid preheater EXPRESS.. The brand logo with the deer with a horn is reminiscent of the company founder Jacob Hirschhorn. Hirsch and Horn = deer and horn.
Very nice lamp, very well presented and quite a few interesting data. Only be able to touch would be even better.
