@JEFF JOHNSON Do you mean the Austramax 200, or Austramax generally? The early Austramax were wartime lanterns, sold domestically, and also requisitioned for military use. They are essentially a copy of the Coleman 249 burner on a different shaped tank. After WWII they were sold domestically, but also used by the Australian military until the 2000s. They were also sold in the Pacific Islands post WWII until quite recently. In the second decade of this century, Austramax also sold wholesale some lanterns to a USA retailer. It was the loss of the military supply, and the difficulty in finding a domestic foundry that would produce high quality burners at a reasonable cost for a small market, that ended the lantern part of the Austramax business. Hello Tony, I meant all Austramax products and thanks for the information. As far as I know Austramax products do not turn up in the UK.. The loss of the military contract also caused problems for Willis & Bates of Halifax in Yorkshire. Tony Press
