Hi, it is quite usual to find Bialaddin Bowlfire heaters minus the plating on the parabolic reflector.

The original bowl from a Bialaddin bowlfire is approx. 11in. diameter and around 4in. at its deepest point.

Some time ago I was experimenting with a possible replacement bowl. This is a 12 inch diameter, 3 inch maximum depth, mixing bowl, made of stainless steel, and bought from a "Pound Shop", our equivalent of a US "Dollar Store"

Here are some photos of the new "Pudding Bowl Bialaddin":

Obviously the new bowl is not a true parabola as it has a flat base, but it is pretty good at focusing the rays, and it is very shiny compared with the old original worn reflector. The bowlfire does seem to throw out much more radiant heat with this "new" bowl.

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

Hi George welcome over to CPL a ingenious cheap solution George, and being made of stainless steel it will never rust or will the plaiting pit and flake away, and will give the same radiant heat through out it life, with the shape of this reflector i wonder if it will radiate heat over a wider area or less of a area but more radiant heat in a smaller area, but what ever the out come a very effective reflector and it realy suits the bowlfire and looks superb, well done George
