It's me & my wife BD month on 4, 1975 & 9, 1974 I found my wife's BD month Coleman Lantern, but, I try to find the Coleman Lantern made in 9, 1974 for over 2 years. Just can't find anyone, so sad. my question is : Coleman didn't make any Lantern in 9, 1974 ?. or I have to keep waiting for someone release on Ebay?.
Jeff: Do you know if Coleman manufactured 220s one month and then 200As or 502 stoves the next? I've looked for a 10/82 (my daughter's birth month) 220K for three years and haven't seen a single one on US e-bay. I finally gave up and bought an 11/82. She was born late on Halloween night, and I figured that was as close as I was able to get. I also looked for years for a 5/61 Coleman 200A for a friend, again without finding one. Thanks. Paul

We know pretty well the years that lamps were made but I am not aware of any production info that gives the months. That info is only stamped on the lamps so you need to talk with Coleman collectors. ::Neil::
Coleman collector, here. New to this wonderful lamp, lantern and heater site (although I've known of it's existence for some time). It has been my experience, too, that concerning Coleman products, not every month of every year has produced a lantern. It is unfortunate, really, that some people simply go without their "birthday" lantern. However, until you receive a definitive answer, here's hoping you continue to enjoy your hunt! - Chris
Hello and welcome aboard Chris! Finding a Coleman lantern which was made in the year of my birth would be fine. I'm not bothered about which month it was made in, but I would prefer a paraffin/kerosene lantern, Jeff.
I hope we aren't straying too far off the topic of the original post! Jeff, thank you! There are two of the best! Coleman lanterns made in 1955... one is the Model 228E dual-mantle, "big hat" lantern, the other, the very desirable single-mantle Model 202 Professional. Many 202s I see at auction are date stamped 5 - 55.
Thanks Chris and the 202 is a fine looking lantern, but the variety of Coleman products which appear in the UK., is much more limited. A version of the 237 was also made in 1955, Jeff.
