was just wondering while looking at some lamps on here and elsewhere ive noticed the carrier cage in different positions from the one in the picture, is it standard to have it this way or is it an individual preference? i think i like the look when the pump is equal between the legs and the control cock to the left but that depends how tight the cock will go,anyone else have there preferences? ok ramble over---Allan

    Hi Allan

The frame position can be adjusted by loosening the ring but below the control cock so you can always have easy access to the control cock knob. There is no reason why you can't position the frame to your preferred position.

    Hello.
The Tilley X246B lamps are constructed with a central locking nut that holds the large plate where the legs for the cage are spot wellded to.
That means that every lamp will be individual.
It is very easy to adjust after your own choice.
Just loosen the nut slightly, adjust and retighten.
The control cock might also be adjusted by tighten or losen it slightly.
