Coleman Two Mantle Burner

Has anyone seen this style of burner on a Canadian 228B?




Note: the two brass screws are replacements.

Tony, if it's all steel I'd look toward a 220B or 220BX, something produced in the 40s. Some of the war time stuff was all steel. Ask on CCF and you'll get a quick answer.

It's look like a CQ burner.

The burner is all brass…

It was on a well used 9/38 Coleman 228B, but does match the burners of any other 228 or 220 from that period, as far as I can see. Of course it could well have been a replacement part.


There are no patent stampings on the burner air tube.

Hi!
Looks to be off a “Quicklite” to me, not originally from a 220B!

 

Corrigendum:

On cleaning up this lantern, the date of manufacture is 9/35 not 1938.
